Yield Strength and Tensile Requirements of API 5L Grade X70 PSL1 and PSL2 Welded Pipe

API 5L X70 pipes transport oil, gas and water under extreme high-pressure conditions. Minimum yield strength stands at 70,300 PSI (485 MPa). Tensile strength must reach at least 82,700 PSI (570 MPa). Pipes are available in seamless and welded types. Two specification levels exist: standard PSL1 and advanced PSL2. Sizes range from 8 inch to 48 inch. HIC tested pipes resist hydrogen embrittlement per ISO 3183. Coatings include epoxy, 3LPE and custom color options.
