Feedwater Heater Nuclear Plant
Tycoon Piping is one of the large suppliers & exporters for high quality Feedwater Heater Tube Material. Feedwater heater are used in a conventional power plant to preheat boiler feed water. The source of heat is steam bled from the turbines and the purpose is to improve the thermodynamic efficiency of the cycle. The most common configuration of feedwater heater is a tube heat exchanger and shell with the feedwater flowing inside the tubes and steam condensing outside. A feedwater heater is a power plant component which is used for pre-heat the water delivered to a steam generating boiler.
In steam power plant, feedwater heaters allows the feeadwater to be brought upto the saturation temperature very gradually. The purpose of feedwater heaters is they provide efficiency gains in the steam cycle by increasing the initial water temperature to the boiler, so there is less sensible heat addition which must occur in the boiler. In tube and shell or closed type feedwater heaters the feedwater flows through tubes and the extracted steam condenses on the shell side.
The heating process by method of extraction steam is referred to as being regenerative. Normally, there are multiple stages of feedwater heating. Each stage corresponds to a turbine extraction point.
