Alloy Steel Pipe

Alloy Steel Welded Pipe

Alloy Steel Seamless Pipe
Low Alloy Steel materials are produced in different specifications. The A335 is a specification for seamless ferritic alloy steel pipe. These Alloy steel seamless pipes are intended for high temperature services. There are also the High Alloy Steel materials. There are different grades in this material specification. There are P1, P2 through P91 and P92 grades. The most commonly used are the p5, p9, p11, p22, p91 and the p91 grades. The 4140 Alloy Steel Pipe has carbon at 0.38 – 0.43%, manganese at 0.75 to 1.00%, phosphorus at 0.04%, sulfur at 0.04%, silicon at 0.15 – 0.35%, chromium at 0.8 to 1.10% and molybdenum at 0.15% - 0.25% at maximum in its composition. The material could be heat treated to be annealed and normalized in the air or be quenched and tempered in polymer or oil. The 4130 Alloy Steel has a lower carbon of 0.28% - 0.33% and other elements in slightly higher quantities. And this material is readily machinable. The 4140 Low Alloy Steel has a range of 2.375 inches to 12.750 inches of outer diameter with the wall thickness ranging from 0.375 inches to 1.5 inches. The 4145 Alloy Steel has slightly higher carbon content than the 4140 and the 4130 types of pipes.
